About Us
My name is Diana. I live with my partner Julian, our 8 year old yellow Labrador DJ and 5 year old black Labrador Retriever Donny!
We are based in the picturesque dog friendly village of Hallaton, with the beautiful rural Leicestershire and Rutland countryside on our doorstep, perfect for Yappy Tail walkies!!
I grew up with a variety of animals from hamsters to goats, but dogs have always had a special place in my heart! It was my love of dogs that led me to become an Approved Puppy Socialiser and Foster Carer for Medical Detection Dogs (MDD), a charity that train specialist dogs to detect life-threatening medical conditions.
Our very own Donny started life training to be a Medical Alert Dog. We met him a few times during his training days and he instantly stole our hearts with his handsome face and mischievious ways. When we heard he didn't quite make the programme, we immediately applied to adopt him. Our application was successful and he quickly settled in to become the fourth member of the Yappy Tails Pack.
From organising fundraising events and delivering talks to help raise awareness for MDD's to running my own puppy training classes and studying for various canine courses, I quickly realised that every spare moment I had was dedicated to my passion, dogs! So in the summer of 2014 I decided to work in the field I love and Yappy Tails Dog Services was created!

Every pet and owner is unique! This is why at Yappy Tails Dog Walking Services we offer a meet and greet service, for free, as an opportunity to discuss your requirements and learn about any special preferences, favourite treats, tricks, toys and tickle spots! This not only helps me to get to know your precious pet, but it also allows them to become familiar with me, so they feel comfortable in my care.
DOG WALKING
1 hour small group dog walk with carefully matched dogs.
1-2-1 walks on request.
Lead walks only unless written consent is obtained for off-lead exercise and only after I have built a bond with your dog and I'm confident with their recall.
All walks Include collection/drop off, fresh water re-fill and a towel rub down
(if required)
Your pooch will be left content and settled.

£15 - per hour

HOME FROM HOME
A 5* cosy countryside retreat for your four-legged friend!
Enjoying companionship, walks in the countryside, lots of fuss, relaxation and mental stimulation. They will have their own room to sleep in at The Yappy Tails Cottage and will spend their holiday days with us and our resident Labradors.
We have a large secure garden for them to enjoy but if they want some space they can relax in the enclosed Paw Patch.

£28 - per day (Day care up to 8 hours)
£35 - per night (Overnight up to 24 hours)

LIVE-IN PET SITTING
There's no place like home!
This service is perfect for older dogs, puppy’s or dogs that suffer with separation anxiety who are happier in their familiar home environment.
It also provides extra security for your home while you are away.
I will spend the night in your home, caring for your dog in their own home environment.
They will enjoy lot's of fuss and attention, an evening and morning walk and I will feed them their dinner, breakfast and always ensure their water bowl is refreshed!
Your home will be left clean and tidy.
I will provide my own meals, bedding and towels so you won’t even know I have been there. I can also water plants and put the bins out if required. There will be no signs on my car while I stay at your home for extra security.
* Additional walks during the day can be added to this service

Looking for a perfect ‘Furry-Tail’ wedding?
Would you like your best friend to be part
of your special day?
With the Yappy Ever After Service we take the stress away from you so you can relax and enjoy your special day. We collect your dog and take them for a lovely walk to help remove any pre-wedding nerves and we will make sure they are 'photo-shoot’ ready for your big day.
This is a bespoke service and I am happy to discuss your exact requirements.
FAMILIARISATION SESSIONS
After the 'Meet and Greet' some clients have found it beneficial to meet me and my resident dogs for a familiarisation session. This will help your dog (and you) become familiar with me, our resident dogs and/or the home before they join us for walks or come to stay. These sessions are especially beneficial for anxious, wary or nervous dogs.
You can book as many of these sessions as you like, to give you extra peace of mind that your dog will be happy, relaxed and content while in our care.
Please Note: At least one Familiarisation Session is essential for all dogs prior to boarding as required by Harborough District Council Home Boarding Licence Conditions
£15 - 30 minute walk with you, your dog and my two resident dogs
£20 - 2 hours (without you) enjoying
a walk and some time at the Yappy Tails Cottage
£30 - Overnight/24 hr (without you) at the Yappy Tails Cottage

Double rates apply on all Bank Holidays including Christmas Eve/Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve/Day

Dad recently had a spell in hospital and although he is recovering well he could not look after his 14 year old Yorkshire terrier Tiny.
Tiny is blind, deaf, has no teeth!! and on medication for a heart condition.
On meeting Diana, I was immediately drawn to her warm caring nature. Diana was asked to walk Tiny twice a day, feed him and give him is daily medication.
Not only did she build a great rapport with Tiny, she got on very well with dad. I would highly recommend Diana.

It can be hard to juggle family and work commitments with pets. I hate to leave my three dogs unattended and when I was invited to a family wedding some way away I knew I could rely on Diana to keep my girls happy.
The meet and greet session prior to the drop in meant they recognised Diana immediately.
